Selena Gomez, an actress and a singer with a huge following across the world. The Disney film Wizards of Waverly Place was one of her most viewed productions. Selena Marie Gomez is her full name. She was born on 22nd July 1992, in Grand Prairie Texas. Amanda Cornett, and Ricardo Gomez are her parents. The mother of Selena was only 16 at the time Selena first came to the scene. When she was just 9 years old Selena was able to make her debut in the world of showbiz when she played Gianna in Barney and her Friends. It was one of the children who got to play with the world's most famous reptile, the purple anthropomorphic dinosaur. Selena made an appearance in many episodes of seasons 7 & 8 between 2001 - 2003. It's a great fact that Selena isn't the only singer who worked on Barney as well as his Friends at this time; Demi Lovato was also part of the cast of the series.
